Therefore, they deserve a different degree of respect and even reverence than anything else in creation. Since humans are created in the image of God, we are, in a very broad and general sense, members of one family in covenant with one another. It is in the mind and heart that murder is conceived. We cannot ever think of taking the life of another unjustly without thinking of Christ, whose life was lost at the hands of wicked and unjust men.
Thou Shalt Not Kill?
The requirement to preserve, protect, and promote life was wholly set aside as they crucified our Savior. And yet, God was at work there satisfying His wrath against sin and upholding His justice to forgive murderous sinners like us who have unjustly taken the lives of others with our words and in our hearts and by our hands. Thou shall not kill. To the normal person this might just sound like another quote your grandfather would say but to the more enlightened they will notice this to be out from the bible. It is one of the 10 commandments. Although you might ask in a society that no longer bases its rules and regulations on the bible, why does a simple quote like this bear any significance.
Well I believe that as a country under God it would be our rightful obligation to take a few ideas to heart so that we may truly show the world how a real country under God presents itself, and how it comes about its daily problems such as homicide, and the death penalty. In history of the United States an innumerable amount of people have lost their lives to the death penalty. Upon this their have also been many to lose their lives for no reason.
Many who were clearly by all means, hands down not guilty, however thanks to this wonderful system which we have they were still put to death. In the past century their have been 23 people who were found to be mistakenly executed.
There are even more however we just haven't taken the time to look into this matter so if there was a mistake we could simply hide it. This is by no means a light matter. A human life is something to be cherished. I don't care how important someone is, I don't believe anyone has the right to tell someone else who is guilty, and who deserves to die. If this were the case I can easily say that all the tyrants, and miscreants this world has come to know are innocent.
